Neighbor to Neighbor is a partnership effort among congregations and organizations in Northern Baltimore County focused on reducing the incidence of homelessness in a defined corridor of Cockeysville and Timonium through housing subsidies and support services.
In this two-year pilot program (beginning September 2010), Neighbor-to-Neighbor will work with 25 families facing eviction and potential homelessness. We will support them with direct aid and counseling, including rental subsidies, case management, and other support services.
Specific actions include:
- goal setting and life skills attainment
- financial literacy and budgeting
- job search assistance
- and access to education and training.
